Ghana Tourism Authority honours Brynx Haven Guest House

The Ghana Tourism Authority has adjudged Brynx Haven Guest House in Cape Coast as the Guest House of the Year 2024 at a colourful ceremony held at the Castle Gardens, Osu on Friday, October 25, 2024.

The award comes just a month after the same facility was adjudged the Guest House of the Year in the Central Region by the Ghana Tourism Authority at an awards ceremony in Cape Coast.

In a citation accompanying the award, the Tourism Authority acknowledged the “exceptional service, hospitality, and commitment to providing travelers with clean and well-appointed rooms at affordable rates.” 

The citation said Brynx Haven “exemplified excellence by offering a unique blend of comfort, culture, and value.” 

Brynx Haven was commended for its dedication to delivering an unforgettable guest experience while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service. 

“This accommodation establishment offers a real home atmosphere away from home with a comfortable, well-manicured environment, fully furnished rooms and quality service delivered by professional staff. This impressive image has been maintained since the inception of the guest house and has turned out to be the preferred lodging facility for both domestic and international visitors,” the citation concluded.

The Chief Executive of Brynx Haven, Mr. Isaac Hayford, who received the award, was full of praise for his staff who he dedicated the award to. He acknowledged their hard work and commitment to the ethos of quality and excellent customer satisfaction.

Hayford also complimented his clientele for their dedication to the facility and indicated that he and his team will commit to even better service to make the stay at Brynx Haven a more enjoyable one.

Hayford who is an architect and building contractor, has a knack for quality design and is already expanding the Cape Coast facility to accommodate more guests. In 2023 he established a branch of Brynx Haven at Ashieyie near Adenta, with its own boutique attractions.
A total of 36 competitive and honorary awards were presented to deserving personalities in the industry. 

Present at the ceremony included the Minister of Tourism Arts & Culture, Andrew Egyapa Mercer and his Deputy, Mark Okraku Mantey, the Board Chairman and Board Members of GTA, the CEO of GTA, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman and his deputies, Ekow Sampson and Ben Anane Nsiah, members of the Diplomatic community.

The Chairperson for the occasion was a former Minister for Information, Madam Oboshie Sai Coffie.
