The CEO of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah has been recognised as the "Capacity Building Shero of the Year" at the sixth annual Women's Choice Awards Africa, held on Friday at the Marriot Hotel in Accra. 

The event, themed "Empowerment, Impact, and Economic Strength: Transforming Narratives Across Africa," celebrated women whose efforts embody resilience, community transformation, and pioneering leadership.

This accolade marks Hajia Abibata’s second recognition by the Women’s Choice Awards Africa, underscoring her commitment to corporate governance and her innovative approach to financial inclusion. 

Since her appointment, Hajia Abibata has been pivotal in reshaping MASLOC, advancing its mission to support Ghanaian women, youth, and rural entrepreneurs.

Her initiatives have spanned financial literacy programmes, mentorship, and business development, creating sustainable pathways for countless small businesses to thrive across Ghana.
