Graphic Business dominates major awards again: Gets 6 out of 11 nominations for 2019 IFEJ awards
Six financial journalists with the Graphic Business have been shortlisted by the Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ) for various awards.
They are – Charles Benoni Okine, Assistant Editor, Graphic Business; Ama Amankwah Baafi, Kester Aburam Korankye, Jessica Acheampong, Emmanuel Bruce and Maclean Kwofi.
They are among 11 financial journalists from both public and private media houses shortlisted for various awards at this year’s Business and Financial Journalism Awards event, which is organised by IFEJ in Accra.

Other nominees are Masahudu Ankiilu Kunateh, the African Eye Report, Kwabena Adu Koranteng, New Crusading Guide, Ms Francisca Dickson Arhin, GH One TV, Mr Malvin James Dadzie, New Crusading Guide, and Adnan Adams, Economic Times.
Graphic Business again becomes the only financial newspaper in the country whose journalists have been nominated for such competitive awards, a demonstration of hard work and determination to produce the best of business and financial news for the reading public.

A press release issued by IFEJ on January 20 in Accra said the five-member jury, under the chairmanship of Professor John Gatsi, settled on the 11nominees as potential award winners across the various business categories.
The 2019 awards is partnered by the World Bank Group, Ghana Stock Exchange, MTN, Voltic Ghana, Accra Brewery Limited and Melcom Group.
Others are GCB Bank, Stanbic Bank, Vivo Energy Ghana, Bank of Ghana and Inkit.

The event is slated for Friday, February 7 at the Christ the King Parish (King of Kings Hall), opposite the Jubilee House in Accra.
The theme for the awards ceremony is: “Towards Agribusiness and Sustainable Development Goals.”
