The female prison officers training program, first of its kind in Ghana aligns with the company’s commitment to making HD quality TV viewing experience, accessible to every Ghanaian and creating local employment whether as a full time activity or as an additional source of income.

The initiative was also to ensure that HD+ users have their HD+ Devices and accompanying satellite equipment professionally installed by accredited installers and enjoy reliable and professional after sales service.

Speaking at the training program held at the Prisons Headquarters, the Chief Executive Officer of SES HD Plus, Adelaide Abbiw-Williams “I hereby express my profound gratitude to the leadership of the Ghana Prison Service for partnering with us on this initiative. Your commitment to empowering your female officers through technical training is a commendable step towards gender inclusivity, professional development, and empowerment.

She said the company believes that by providing women with the necessary skills and knowledge, it could foster greater diversity and excellence in traditionally male-dominated fields, such as satellite installation.

She also commended the participants for their participation and willingness to learn, stating that “your presence here is a testament to your resilience and the strength you bring to this field.

“As women prison officers, you've already demonstrated remarkable courage, and now, by taking on this training, you're pushing boundaries even further. Remember, you are pioneers, and your success here will inspire others to follow in your footsteps.” she added.

Commenting on the benefits of the training, Director of Prisons at the Ghana Prisons Service, DOP Baffoe -Bonnie said the initiative would boost the confidence of the female officers and also provide them with an opportunity to earn income by utilising their personal time.

She further encouraged the trainees to focus on the training and harness the potential thereof.

"I encourage every woman present here to grasp every knowledge being imparted into them since it will go a long way to help them not only for today but in the future,” she stated.

The successful completion of this training serves as a testament to the commitment of SES HD PLUS in promoting quality TV viewing.
