Kwahu Professionals Network partners GATAC to boost trade and professional development
The Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Global African Trade Advisory Chamber (GATAC) in a strategic alliance aimed at promoting professional development and facilitating global trade opportunities for Kwahu professionals and businesses.
The agreement, formalised this week, marks a significant step towards enhancing economic empowerment and international engagement for Ghanaian professionals. It brings together two organisations with complementary goals—KPN, a dynamic network comprising professionals from sectors such as healthcare, real estate, politics, and trade, and GATAC, a global body committed to promoting African businesses in international markets.
According to both parties, the partnership is designed to unlock a range of mutually beneficial initiatives, including trade and investment facilitation, capacity building, policy advocacy, diaspora engagement, and expanded market access for Kwahu-owned enterprises.
President of the KPN, Richard Nyarko Sarpong, described the agreement as the beginning of a transformative journey for Kwahu professionals. “This partnership marks the beginning of a transformative journey where professionals from different fields can harness international trade opportunities while contributing to Kwahu’s economic growth,” he stated.
GATAC President, Mr Dominic Oduro-Antwi, expressed similar optimism, affirming the chamber’s commitment to strengthening local enterprises and building capacity. “We look forward to working with KPN to bridge global trade gaps and create a thriving environment for business and professional excellence,” he said.
The MOU signals a proactive shift towards economic collaboration and professional networking on a global scale, with both organisations pledging to implement projects that support sustainable development and career advancement.
In a statement issued by KPN’s Director of Communications, Heidi Akosua Boateng, the agreement was described as “not just a formal agreement; it is a bold step towards a future where African professionals and businesses can thrive in the global economy.”
