Leadership change at GREPA as Kofi Adabor Ofori-Amanfo Heads 2026–2028 Executive Board
The Ghana Real Estate Professionals Association has installed Mr Kofi Adabor Ofori-Amanfo as President of its Executive Board for the 2026 to 2028 term, marking a new phase of leadership for the professional body as it seeks to deepen ethical governance and promote sustainable real estate development in Ghana.
Mr Ofori-Amanfo was installed at a formal ceremony held on December 12 at The Hive at ICGC Christ Temple Tse Addo in Accra, where real estate professionals, regulators, government representatives and industry stakeholders gathered to witness the leadership transition and discuss the future direction of the sector.
Speaking on behalf of the newly installed Executive Board, Mr Ofori-Amanfo pledged to prioritise ethical governance and stronger collaboration with regulators while promoting sustainability across the real estate value chain.
He encouraged members to take advantage of GREPA’s Multiple Listing Service (MLS) platforms, which syndicate Ghanaian property listings to international markets through realtor.com, to expand visibility and attract global investment.
He emphasised that access to the MLS platforms remains exclusive to registered GREPA members in good standing, a measure he said reinforces professionalism, data integrity and adherence to international best practices.
The installation ceremony also featured the formal charge delivered by GREPA Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Victoria Osei Sampah, who urged the new President and his executive team to lead with integrity, unity and accountability. She stressed the importance of strict adherence to GREPA’s Constitution and Bylaws, respect for regulatory frameworks and the responsibility of leadership to strengthen public trust in the real estate profession.
Ms Sampah further charged the Executive Board to uphold REALTOR® Professional Licensing with the Real Estate Agency Council and to work closely with regulators and industry partners to elevate standards across the sector.
A key highlight of the event was the pinning of REALTOR® International members who have attained international REALTOR® status. The ceremony symbolised their commitment to global ethical standards and best practices, while reinforcing GREPA’s role as a bridge between Ghana’s real estate industry and the global REALTOR® community.
Also addressing the gathering, the Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Agency Council, Mr Emmanuel Jeffrey, reminded members of the importance of enforcing the Real Estate Agency Act, 2020 Act 1047.
He highlighted ongoing collaboration with the Financial Intelligence Centre to enhance transparency, curb unlicensed practice and promote accountability within the sector.
In her remarks, the outgoing GREPA President, Ms Odette Nyame Kumi, reflected on achievements during her tenure, including governance reforms, strengthened ethical standards, support for licensing under Act 1047, expanded member engagement, capacity building conferences and GREPA’s growing international visibility through MLS platforms. She described GREPA as one of the fastest building strong institutional foundations to support the Association’s long term credibility and impact.
