Let’s build inclusive, strong infrastructure for businesses to thrive - Dr Titiati
An optometrist, Dr Mrs Perfect Emefa Titiati has stressed the need for collective efforts to build strong and inclusive infrastructure that empowers businesses to thrive.
She has therefore urged the youth to push for policies that ensured infrastructure was built by indigenes.
Dr Titiati said this when she spoke on the topic; “Bridging SME infrastructure gaps to empower young entrepreneurs,” as part of the breakfast meeting series today at the ongoing Africa Prosperity Dialogues in Accra.
She also urged young people to work together as investors, business people and entrepreneurs to build the prosperity of the continent together.
She further called for the availability of electricity and reliable internet saying it was about unlocking the full potential of the African continent.
The Director of Innovation at the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) David Ofori, during a panel discussion also called for the creation of more strategic economic zones for young entrepreneurs to leverage on it.
He said it was important that young people began to think about what they intend to do even at high school so they chose subjects that informed what they intend doing after school.
Mr Ofori observed that many young people were mostly dishonest and that was deterring many from going into business partnerships.
