Brief history: Established in 1993, M&G Pharmaceuticals Limited is today one of the most recognised pharmaceuticals manufacturing company in Ghana. We have headquarters in Jamestown, Accra, with offices in Kumasi and Tamale, serving over 800 clients in all regions and districts of Ghana.
Mission statement: In the provision of medicines, it is of utmost importance to maintain a very high standard in quality. Our motto is making quality medicines for millions and true to our word, we never compromise on the quality of our products.
Products: We currently have a total product range of 80 products. all our products are available in capsules, tablets, syrups, suspensions, powders. We are the first company to have been contracted by the shops project, financed by USAID, to manufacture dispersible Zinc Sulphate Tablets under brand name Zintab, whose supplementation, along with oral rehydration salt (ors) has proven excellent in the reduction of both duration and severity of diarrhoea in children. Some of our other premium brands include Polyfer (blood tonic), Ezipen (fast acting pain killer), Ascoryl (vitamin C syrup for children) and go cough (adult cough mixture).
Clientele: We currently have a wide client base consisting of ministry of health, the central medical store, all the 10 Regional Medical Stores, NGOs, private hospitals and clinics, regional and district level government hospitals, wholesale and retail pharmacies & chemists and licensed chemical shops.
In 2014, we started exports to the Gambia and Liberia and have registered our products in sierra leone.
Ccorporate social responsibility: We firmly believe in giving back to the society that we find ourselves in. A healthy population is a wealthy population hence, our company has been very active in the sponsorship of multiple health outreach programmes in rural areas over the last five years.
Our activities are aimed to ensure that as much of the under-priviledged get access to quality healthcare services in the furthest reaches of the country.

We also sponsor a few prizes for the best pharmacy students graduating from the University of Legon.
M&G Pharmaceuticals is very interested in promoting a healthy lifestyle, and boxing a very popular sport in our locality in Jamestown.
To that effect, M&G strives to ensure boxing remains an integral part of the culture and tradition of the folks here by partly sponsoring boxing activities in the area. We are also very firm supporters of lapag (lady pharmacists association of ghana) and we sponsor many of their activities. We are also very active in supporting blood donations for churches and NGOs, where we believe giving back to the society and taking care of the deprived is of utmost importance.
Awards and recognition: M&G Pharmaceuticals has consistently been a member of the Ghana Club 100 for the past 13 consecutive years.
Our brands, Zintab and Ezipen were awarded the best Made-in-Ghana pharmaceutical brands for the year 2013 by the Ghana Entrepreneur Foundation.
Our company was also recognised by Superbrands, the world’s largest independent arbitrator for branding, as one of the 40 top-most emerging brands in Ghana in 2013.
M&G Pharmaceuticals Limited has been awarded Ghana quality awards in the early part of this millenium, as well as being adjudged the Best Performing Company in the pharmaceutical industry of Ghana by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI).
In april 2016, our Managing Director, Mr Gopal Vasu, was specially recognised by the West African Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers’ Association (WAPMA) for his outstanding contribution to manufacturing of pharmaceutical products in the West African sub-region.
Mr Vasu is also an honorable member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana.
Our company also won an award from the Pharmaceutical Panufacturers’ Association (PMAGg) in 2015.
