
Tinah Mukunda appointed National Director of World Vision Ghana
World Vision Ghana has announced the appointment of Tinah Mukunda as its new National Director, with effect from August 1, 2025.
Ms Mukunda, a seasoned development and humanitarian professional, brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to the role, with expertise in governance, programme management, human resources, and strategic organisational development. Her appointment is expected to strengthen World Vision Ghana’s mission of delivering transformative development and humanitarian services across the country.
She has been part of the World Vision International family since 2009, serving in a range of senior roles across several countries. Until her new appointment, she was National Director of World Vision Eswatini, a role she assumed in September 2021. Before that, she served as Operations Director for World Vision Kenya and held a succession of key leadership positions at World Vision Uganda, including Interim National Director, Deputy National Director, Integrated Programme Director, and Human Resource Director.
Her extensive career also includes earlier experience outside World Vision. She worked with ChildFund International as Human Resource Manager, at UGAFODE Microfinance as Branch Manager, and at Compassion International as Project Director.
In addition to her operational leadership, Ms Mukunda has served on several governance boards. She was a member of the Vision Fund Kenya Board under its Audit Committee and chaired the Board of the Uganda Water and Sanitation Network on behalf of World Vision Uganda. She also previously served as Council Secretary for St. Francis Chapel at Makerere University in Uganda. While in Eswatini, she represented the NGO sector on the Business Eswatini Board of Directors.
Her academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Business Administration, a Master’s in Management Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences.
The appointment of Ms Mukunda signals a renewed focus on leadership and innovation within World Vision Ghana, reinforcing its efforts to address development challenges and advance humanitarian work.
She succeeds Jean-Claude Mukadi, who had been acting as Interim National Director prior to her official appointment.
