The symposium, which was conducted in partnership with IBS Consulting Alliance, was on the theme, “In Search of the Right Talent”.

This was the second edition of UMB’s quarterly seminar series for 2016, aimed at discussing relevant topics that will enhance the businesses and investments of members of the UMB Prominence Club.

The Chief Executive Officer of UMB, Mr John Awuah, said, “Talent recruitment should be a key component of corporate strategy and failure to do so will have negative repercussions on organisational performance.”

He also said to have a flawless execution of organisational strategy, there was the need to recruit the right people.

The Head of Private Banking at UMB, Ms Elizabeth Naami Grant, reiterated that,“the primary objective of the Prominence Club, is to create a functional and unconventional banking service that focuses on the unique requirements, privacy and convenience of its members.”

She added that access to capacity-building events was also one of the key benefits of the Prominence Club membership, and it was against this background that UMB organised the seminar to expose participants to some of the new and critical elements of recruiting the right talent to drive institutional agenda.

The training was facilitated by Mr Percy Amoo-Yankey and Mr Chris Essilfie, executive directors of IBS Consulting Alliance. They encouraged participants to see talent recruitment as an investment and not just an administrative HR process.
