Zenith Bank optimistic about the future
The Managing Director/CEO of Zenith Bank Ghana, Mr Daniel Asiedu, has expressed optimism about the future of the bank as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
“We are committed to delivering the right strategy, business mix and culture using the best people to drive continued growth and take advantage of the opportunities in the marketplace”, Mr Asiedu said in an interview.
According to him, the multiple award winning bank intends to be the best in all parameters, especially customer service delivery in the very dynamic industry we.”
Mr Asiedu added that “the brand is living up to the meaning of its name, Zenith, and growing stronger and stronger each year.”
As Zenith Bank celebrates 10 years of operations in Ghana this year, it is looking forward to the future with confidence and a deep sense of appreciation of the tremendous opportunities ahead.
“We are proud of our track record of balancing the interests of our stakeholders i.e. shareholders, customers, employees and the communities in which we operate,” he said.
Mr Asiedu said the bank had built a strong foundation of integrity, trust, and ethical behaviour in all its businesses, adding that “this foundation will serve as a springboard into the next decade where our operations as well as our commitment to stakeholders should extend beyond taking deposits and giving out loans.”
On the secret behind the bank’s many laurels, Mr Asiedu said, “the banking landscape has become increasingly competitive in the country. Banks are constantly developing new products and services to win and maintain customers.”
He added that banks were under pressure to differentiate themselves through innovative ways to stay ahead of the pack as well as ensure they were optimising their value propositions to customers’ businesses.
“When we commenced banking operations in 2005, we set out with the vision “to be a reference point in the provision of prompt, flawless and innovative banking products and services in the Ghanaian banking industry,” he said, adding that “If we were to measure ourselves using these parameters, I would say that the awards we have won, both locally and internationally, have been as a result of our steadfast commitment to these parameters.”
To be specific, he listed some notable awards the bank had won to be:
Bank of the Year Ghana (2014) – The Banker Awards 2014; Best Bank, Customer Service (2013) – Ghana Banking Awards; Best Bank, Corporate Banking (2012) – Ghana Banking Award; Winner – Trade Finance Deal of the Year (2012) – Ghana Banking Awards; Most Socially Responsible Bank (2011) – Ghana Banking Awards and 10th ranked company (2010) – Ghana Club 100.
