Asare launches Na Menim album

One of Ashanti region’s live worship kings, Ebenezer Akwasi Asare, brought the town of Tafo Pankrono, a suburb of Kumasi, to a standstill with the launch of his maiden album Na Menim at the Pankrono-Atimatim Assembly of the Royal House Chapel last Sunday.

Some of the songs on the album produced by Mandy Music Production include Aseda Ka, Ye Hyira Wo, O Tim Ho Daa, Yehowa, Medofo Kese and Na Menim.

Na Menim, a seven-track album which tells the chequered live story of the gifted worshiper, song writer and instrumentalist, is indeed a masterpiece.

 After 10 years in the industry, the gifted Asare, did not have the courage to venture into production although being one of the most loved live worshipers on Nhyira FM, one of the Multimedia stations in Kumasi.

But ‘after hearing from God’, the young full-time song minister, pulled out one of the region’s best repertoire of gospel music which could pass as one of the country’s best at any time.

Spiced with some scintillating performances by some of the region’s adored artistes including Jack Alolome, Joseph Mensah, Daniel Kusi and Brother Sammy, the packed auditorium of the Royal House Chapel was simply not big enough to contain the crowd.

The ‘overflow’ was simply awe-inspiring and despite the intermittent downpours, the fans were ready to sacrifice just to catch a glimpse of the radio icon, Asare.

Asare, one of the main worship leaders at the Pankrono-Atimatim Royalhouse chapel, did not disappoint at all, displaying one of his best before the crowd, including resident Reverend minister and head of Ashanti and Brong Ahafo, Robert Rev Agyemang Weburah.

‘I am not in to make money. I have come here to minister. It is my way of sharing the word of God and my contribution to God’s kingdom,’ the ecstatic Asare told Showbiz after the show.

‘My aim is not to add to the numbers, but to make a mark and expand the scope of gospel music in the country and beyond,’ Asare added.
