I will survive – Choirmaster

Surviving on the music scene as a solo artiste after a group’s break up is a difficult task for many musicians but for Choirmaster who recently parted ways with Praye, he is poised to remain relevant in the face of stiff competition.

He told Showbiz over the weekend that even though some critics have written him off as incapable to make any impact as a solo artiste, he wouldn’t be distracted by them.

He said the survival of artistes such as Daddy Lumba after the break up of the Lumba Brothers  is enough evidence as well as a source of inspiration for him that his music career is not near.

“How many years has it been since the Lumba Brothers went their separate ways yet Daddy Lumba continues to shine. He is still one of the hot cakes around today so I don’t think that Choirmaster is history just because he is now a solo artiste.

“I won’t let these claims distract me from my dream since I’m poised for success and that is what I am working towards,” he said.

Working on the release of his debut solo album, Revelations, Choirmaster, who is now under the management of Blue Rose Entertainment said he will release two songs off Revelations on his birthday, July 26, remarking, “it will be a birthday package for my supportive fans”.

The songs are Saved by Grace and Pull Him Down and they are to help quench the thirst of his fans who made the request after he released Ghana’s Most Beautiful song last two months.

“I had feedback from my fans that they want a song that they can dance to. I am working on more of such songs. I can assure them that they would get great stuff from me in the coming months,” he said.
