Naomi brings Onim after short break
Even though she didn’t get the attention with her debut album some years ago, gospel artiste, Naomi Adjei, didn’t allow that to discourage her from pursuing her music career.
After taking a break for about three years, she is back with her new album which she calls Onim, the new album has songs such as Mehyira Wo, Mmrane Sɛ Wo, Onim, Obɛn Me, Anigyeɛ, Dom Me and Worship.
According to Naomi, the reason for choosing Onim(He knows) as the title of her album which was recorded by Wavebon Studios at Kwashieman was to point out the fact that, God knows all the trials His children go through. This is to test their faith and trust in Him.
Commenting on Dom Me which appears to be one of her favourites, Naomi said she was touched to compose that particular song because of the challenges she has encountered in life.
Dom Me is a slow tempo song calling on Christians to depend on the Lord and seek His favour all the time.
“I know we encounter many problems as individuals in our daily lives but it is up to us to look up to the Lord. Personally, I have been through a lot in the past and God heard my prayers and saw me through them all,” she stated.
Naomi said it had been a long cherished dream to reach out to millions with the word of God and was happy her music is currently serving the purpose.
“I have been in the gospel industry for close to 10 years and I am glad I have been able to come out with this album by the grace of God. I guess my first album was not packaged well enough so I have done my home work and I pray this new one catches on well with the public,” she stated.
