Mawuly enters in style

Life has its own twists and turns, but that did not deter up and coming artiste, Mawuly who sees that as a source of inspiration to conquer all odds in the music industry and come out with a number of singles from his yet to be released 16-track album, To God be the Glory. Though he has been in the music industry for close to 10 years, it has not been a smooth journey for him.

“It has not been easy since I had to take certain risks and chances just to have the opportunity to do music. I realised that as a musician one would have to think out of the box and be creativel”, he said in an interview with Graphic Showbiz last Monday.

Some of the singles making waves on air are Ebeyeyie, I Will Shine, Ke Kam, Give It To Me, Ke Ole, My Taste, Oya, and Wayo. Talking about some of his works, Mawuly said “My Taste is about admiring the African beauty and appreciating God’s creation. I love, admire and respect African women and this song is to celebrate them. I have also released a video for My Taste.

Although Mawuly describes himself as a hiplife artiste, he believes he is good in reggae, dancehall, and inspirational songs.

“ Give It To Me recorded by Emeraid Musik is a dancehall which I featured Zigg Zagg” he added.

According to Mawuly, real name Kwawu Joseph being an upcoming artiste is not that easy as you are bound to face challenges. “ What i find most challenging is finding a producer for my works. Not to talk about paying Payola to have my music played on air”,he said.

Currently signed onto Animal Entertainment, Mawuly said  he believes with a positive mindset and hard work, he would make it in the music industry.
