The event will see performances from her colleague artistes like Ohemaa Mercy, Francis Amo, Evangelist Diana Asamoah and Ceccy Twum.

Others are Gifty Osei, Anita Afriyie, Obaapa Christy, Monica Ansah and Matilda Agyeman.

Once her colleagues warm the stage at the Akweteman based church, Ophelia herself will take over and treat the audience to songs from her repertoire before the launch of her latest album.

Nkunimdifuo, a single off the album was released late last year and has been enjoying appreciable airplay. Ophelia told Showbiz on Monday that she is happy at the response the song is receiving, “to think that I have been off the scene for a very long time, it is refreshing to know that my fans still yearn for my music, I’m really excited about it.’’

She used the opportunity to invite her fans and all gospel music enthusiasts to the launch on Sunday, “please come in your numbers and you will be glad you did because it will be a blessing-filled session,’’ she said.

Gving an insight into what her latest single is about, Ophelia said, “It’s all about victory. God was on my side in my trying moments and He showed Himself strong in my life and that of my family by coming to my aid.

“At the end of the day, I became a victor so basically, the song is about what God did for me, the victory He has given me.”

The song also goes on to encourage people not to give up when the storms of life hit them.

“They should never turn their back on God when things don’t seem to go their way, rather they should have faith and know that they have an anchor who has promised that whatever good thing He starts in their lives, He will bring to a perfect end,’’ she said.

Born in January 1971, Abena Serwaa Ophelia who hails from Obomeng-Kwahu in the Eastern region started singing and performing at the Presbyterian Church in Obomeng-Kwahu.
