The La Pleasure Beach in Accra will be the hub of good dancehall music on  Wednesday, June 3, when Rashid Metal headlines this year’s Reggae Dancehall Beach Concert.

The 7 pm show is expected to draw performances from some underground dancehall acts too and according to the organisers, Prince One Love Bay, this year’s show dubbed the “Revival Show” is expected to boost the dancehall feeling in the music industry.

The Reggae Dancehall Beach Concert has served as a platform for dancehall artistes to thrill their followers with their performances and to give young artistes the opportunity to explore their craft as well.

Rashid Metal has promised to put up a great show on the night and he is hopeful his act will prove him as one of the forces to reckon with on the dancehall front.

A member of the organising team, David Appiah, told Showbiz that the concert will give enthusiasts of dancehall music “a pride to hold”.

Mr. Appiah said that together with his team, they intend to make the concert a monthly affair but sponsorship was a major challenge. That, he said, would be a thing of the past since his outfit has put in place measures to make the concert attractive on the showbiz scene.

Rashid Metal came to prominence in the Ghanaian music circles last year when he accused Stonebwoy of stealing his term, ‘baafira’, which he had used in his No Noise song.

Ever since, the Tema- based artiste has released songs like Dancehall Madness produced by Flipbeatz, Special Yariya ft.Gage, Pressure  Man Ah Gyallis, Bad Gyal  and Ron Di Place.

Known by his fans as Zee Town King, Rashid has performed on many big platforms including Margarita Beach Carnival and YFM’s Loud In GH. He is also the founder of the Zee Town family and currently under the management of Afrovibez Entertainment.
