Rison releases I don’t Want To Wait video
American based musician, Anthony Rison Enyie Okai, known in showbiz circles as Rison is out with a video for his song, I Don’t Want To Wait featuring Pappy Kojo.
The video for the single has been released online and has gained a large number of views already.
The concept is based on Rison’s pursuit of a girl he has affection for and she opens up to him after realising the perseverance and drive he exhibits in winning her heart in the video directed by Ishmael Kanu J.
The video, shot in different locations in the US, has nice scenes and a very beautiful lady who teases him throughout the video till she eventually gives in.
The singer, love and passion for music started at a very young age because his father was a singer and he grew up with music being sang or played at home.
He told Showbiz, “When I was young, I was eager to become a rapper because I thought it was cool and I idolised Tupac, Nas, Jay- Z and Eminem” but as time went on, he became more comfortable with singing and later released a few R&B songs as demos.
The new single, I Don’t Want To Wait taken off his E.P, is rendered in English, Twi and Ga. It can be described as an Afro-pop song with an R&B touch.
It is groovy and catchy, courtesy of the soft and mellow drum works accompanying the beat produced by Mobeatz. The song features Pappy Kojo whose twelve bar verse fitted perfectly and captured the message of the song beautifully.
Talking about what inspired him to come out with I Don’t Want To Wait, Rason said “There was a discussion that took place in my apartment about how women play hard to get but eventually give in so when the beat was made by my producer, it was like magic. The song was written in about 45minutes”.
With dreams to break into the Ghanaian music scene, Rison says he is ready to put in the works to get him recognised by music lovers all over and is currently working on his E.P titled IAM which will be ready in the middle of this year.
