Accra Cocktail week set in motion

The first Accra Cocktail Week 2014 was launched at Reggie Rockstone’s Office, Django Bar, in Accra on Thursday.  An initiative of Brand Management Agency, Sixth Sense Manifesto, the Accra Cocktail Week is aimed at educating consumers on different types of cocktails and to promote Accra as a cosmopolitan city.

The week-long celebration which begins tomorrow, Sunday, June 15, and ends on Saturday, June 21, will see residents of Accra get the opportunity to sample new as well as their favourite cocktail drinks at a 20 percent discounted price from 20 selected participating bars.

The event also aims at making cocktails the preferred choice among revellers in the suburb.Accra Cocktail Week will provide brands as well as bars the opportunity to unleash all their different recipes and deliver a unique experience to their consumers.

Some of the participating bars include; DND, Champs, Firefly, La Plazza, Movenpick and Django all in of Accra.

Expressing her appreciation at the launch, Project Co-ordinator, Ms Ann Nettey of Sixth Sense Manifesto said the participating bars had brought their dreams into fruition. 

“The success so far is highly attributed to all the participating bars and brands that supported this idea from start and though we are yet to have our first experience, we promise a better event next year” she stated.

She said the the best bar would be crowned 'Cocktail Bar of the Year' at the end of the week. 

The participating bars would be judged on their customer services, methods used in making the cocktails and the good customer services rendered to patrons throughout the duration of the event.
