The annual event slated for Sunday 24th September 2017 at Perez Dome, Dzowulu will feature gospel acts like Naa Mercy, Ohemaa Mercy, Ntokonzo Mbambo of South Africa, Diana Hamilton, Tagoe Sisters among others.

Other notable women Christian personalities such as Mrs Rita Korankye Ankrah, Madame Joyce Are and many others are expected to grace the occasion.

Speaking at the press launch on Friday, Mrs Georgina Nettey, founder of Women In Worship said the main aim of the event is to create lasting impact in the lives of women and to support causes dear to women.

According to her, this year's concert is geared towards education and sensitization of cervical cancer which will include outreach programmes and free screenings.

She added that efforts will also be made towards raising funds to support research into a cure for cervical cancer.

Mrs Nettey said organising the event was a personal vision that is aimed at elevating and celebrating women who staunchly and strongly drive the worship agenda in their various homes, churches and organisations adding that all women in Christendom should look forward to the event on the national calendar.

"As Christians, we are duty bound offer worship and praise to our maker with every breath of our lives because worship solidifies and strengthens our bond with our father. We raise our voices to honour and acknowledge our God so that our existence would not be in vain," she said.

On creating cervical cancer awareness, President for Medical Women Association of Ghana, Dr Naa Sodzi-Tettey said creating awareness about cervical cancer is not just about women but men as well who she insisted should encourage women in their lives to get tested to get early treatment.

Dr Sodzi-Tettey said interventions can be put in place to prevent full-blown cancers from appearing and that is why creating awareness is very important to safeguarding women's health

According to her cervical cancer is a disease that affects not only the woman's body but the entire family because of the peculiar challenges the family faces when a woman is not around, "So we are talking about getting everybody involved in cervical cancer prevention, we mean every single person", she stated.

Women In Worship concert organised by Genet Services is an all female an event that intends to show the excellence and mystery that God used in creating a woman.
