Berima Amo sings Danaase
Highlife musician, Berima Amo has released a new song, Danaase, a captivating blend of Ghanaian folk music and classical music.
Produced by Berima Amo himself at Ofie Studios in Amsterdam, Danaase is a heartfelt expression of gratitude and thankfulness for life. The song fuses traditional Akan folk music with classical music elements, creating a unique and enchanting sound.

The instrumentation on Danaase is a combination of sounds, with violin, viola, and cello recorded at Studio 150 in Amsterdam.
The song was mixed by Joeri Saal, adding a polished finish to the production.
According to Berima Amo, Danaase is a celebration of life's blessings and a reflection of Ghana’s cultural heritage.
Earlier in August, Ghanaian music fans and Highlife enthusiasts were in for a treat as Berima Amo and Pat Thomas, shared the stage at the prestigious Grachten festival in Amsterdam.
The Grachten festival, held annually in the Dutch capital, is a celebration of classical and world music, featuring a diverse lineup of local and international artistes.
Those who performed are Bnnyhunna, Tallulah Rose, Peter Somuah, Kweku Mensah, and MC David Grutter spiced up the event.

Last month, Berima Amo recorded a new album at Studio 150 in Amsterdam with All Stars AfroBand at Cinetol in Amsterdam.
Berima Amo is a trumpet master who has become an ambassador for West Africa's rich musical traditions with songs such as Halleluyah Nyame, Abedua, Okyena Asem, Back in Ghana, Obibini and Saa Na Etie.
After his jazz trumpet studies at Rotterdam Conservatory, he lived between Amsterdam and Accra as a musician and cultural entrepreneur.
Over the years, he has been hosting International Amofest to highlight the rich and authentic African sounds and also providing the platform for him to share his rich musical traditions.
