Bernard out with Come to Jesus video

Gospel artiste, Bernard Amankwah, who for the past eight years has blessed lovers of gospel music with his annual Celebration of His Grace concert, is set to release the video of his latest song, Come To Jesus.

The video, which was shot and directed by Nii Oblitey Commey, will be shown for the first time on Gh One’s Rhythz programme next week.

With shots taken at the La Palm Beach Hotel and some locations in Accra, Come To Jesus, a song off the I’m Redeemed album which was launched last year, is a reminder of the saving power of Jesus.

Bernard, who said he holds the salvation of the youth dear to his heart, sings about how it is important to “come to Jesus” in times of difficulties.

According to him, as a mentor, he was inspired to compose Come To Jesus due to the many stories he hears from the youth.

“It’s amazing the things you hear from young people and how they want people to hear their stories but keep quiet for fear of being ridiculed among their peers.

“I had to compose the piece to encourage them that, in the face of their challenges, there’s a man called Jesus who will lessen their burdens,” he stated.

Apart from that, Bernard, who is also known for songs such as His Presence and Mercy  said music clips have become an important part of an artiste’s branding therefore he had to invest much in the shooting of the video.

He is not impressed with the utterances of some of our political leaders at a time when the political season is heated up and to forestall any turmoil in connection with the forthcoming general elections in November, the I’m Redeemed artiste is ready to stage a peace concert on Sunday, September 18.

His Presence, Almighty and Mercy Rescue Me are some of the albums he has to his credit.
