Beverly Afaglo: Family to observe one week on May 30
A one week observation has been scheduled for May 30 for the late actress Beverly Ama Afaglo who died on Sunday, May 24.
In a statement issued on behalf of the family by Cine-God Studios, her management, it was explained that the Saturday, May 30 one week observation will be held at the Green Flavour Events Centre at Community 9 in Tema, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“One-Week Remembrance Vigil” to honour the life and legacy of the actress, and entrepreneur, who died at age 42, the notice indicated.
The attire for the event is black and red. There will be worship and praise sessions, scripture readings, tributes from family and industry colleagues, special musical renditions, a sermon, torch lighting and a balloon release.
The family, in the statement, appealed to the public for prayers, support and privacy as they mourn their loss.
“The family respectfully requests prayers, support, and privacy as they mourn this painful loss and make arrangements for her final rites,” the statement said.
Management on behalf of family also noted that details regarding her final funeral rites would be announced in due course and expressed appreciation to friends, colleagues and well-wishers for the outpouring of love and support shown since news of her death broke.

Born on 28 May 1983, Beverly Afaglo Baah rose to prominence through her performances in film and television.
Before finding fame in the entertainment industry, Beverly invested heavily in her education and professional training. She studied journalism and public relations at the Ghana Institute of Journalism and also trained as a beauty therapist at the FC Institute of Beauty Therapy — skills that later influenced her business ventures outside acting.
Throughout her acting career, Beverly appeared in several popular Ghanaian and African productions, including Return of Beyonce, Crime to Christ, Girls Connection, Single Six, A Northern Affair, Sidechic Gang, Aloe Vera, and Every Woman Has a Story.
Beverly Afaglo was married to musician, Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster of Praye fame. They had two children.
