Bren.ny is Shaltoux My Voice, My identity winner

UP and coming musician, Bren.ny is winner of this year’s edition of Shaltoux My Voice, My Identity (MVMI2) competition.

At a ceremony held at Shalina Healthcare Ghana Limited, Accra, on Friday, March 15, 2025, the 10 finalists were presented with their prizes with the top-three finalists receiving dummy cheques.

As the ultimate winner, Bren.ny took home GHC8,000 while the first and second runners-up received GH¢5,000 and GH¢3,000, respectively. The remaining seven finalists were also awarded consolation prizes.

The My Voice, My Identity competition was open to participants across the country, with winners determined through social media votes.

General Manager for Shalina Healthcare Ghana (Pharma), Vikram Jit Singh, commended the participants and reiterated the company’s goal of making Shaltoux the leading lozenges brand in Ghana.

“We have grown steadily over the years, and we believe in growing with our community, supporting talents, and creating opportunities,” he said.

Shalina Healthcare's African roots date back to its founding in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1984 by Mr. Shiraz Virji.

 The company's initial goal was to provide quality healthcare products and services to the African population. Over the years, Shalina Healthcare has expanded its presence to over 34 countries, making it a leading healthcare provider in Africa.

While expanding its business, Mr Singh said the company is equally interested in the creative talents of customers and established the competition to support budding musicians, stating that the competition was an opportunity to strengthen that relationship.

“We see this not just as a marketing initiative but as a way to engage young talents and build lasting connections. We hope to continue working with these emerging voices beyond today,” he said.

Marketing Officer for Shalina, Solomon Sackitey, also acknowledged the participants’ efforts throughout the campaign.

“For the past 10 weeks, we have interacted with contestants through social media, which has become a powerful tool for engagement. This competition was not just about winning but about showcasing unique voices and connecting with potential brand ambassadors,” he said.

The winner, Bren.ny was full of gratitude to the organisers for providing her the platform to showcase her talent.

“I’m excited about this win and I know it is the start of many great things and I know this win will propel me to greater heights,” she stated.
