The end-of-year party is an event that the owners of Coconut Grove Hotels, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and his wife, Yvonne, have instituted in all their hotels that include Coconut Grove Beach Resort in Elmina, Coconut Grove Village in Elmina, Coconut Grove Bridge House in Elmina and the Coconut Grove Miner’s Lodge in Obuasi.
The General Manager of Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Ralph Ayitey, on behalf of the management and staff, expressed appreciation to Mrs Nduom, the Board Chairperson of the hotels and Dr. Nduom for their continued commitment to the hotels and especially the staff, in the quest for total excellence.
Mr Ayitey noted that whilst other facilities laid off staff as a result of the economic challenges encountered last year Dr. and Mrs. Nduom rather dared to increase salaries of staff by as much as 55 per cent.
He indicated that the staff felt very motivated to offer guests ‘memories worth repeating’.
A Vice President of the Legal Department of Groupe Nduom, Mr Chiefy Nduom, commended the staff for their determination to deliver excellent service to clients despite the challenges of last year.
Mr Nduom reiterated the commitment of the Board of Groupe Nduom to their hotels to succeed irrespective of the economic fortunes of the country.
Mr Sani Mohammed, a kitchen staff with 14 years experience at the hotel, was adjudged the Best Worker of the Year.
