Dance Awards Ghana on Saturday

THE second edition of Dance Awards Ghana aimed at celebrating dancers and dance groups contributing to the dance culture home and abroad is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 28.

In all, 37 awards will be given on the night and they include Best Dance DJ, Best Video Vixen, Best Famale Dancer, Best Male Dancer, Best Celebrity Dancer, Best Dance Event, Best Choreographer and Best Dance of the Year.

In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, Kobi Rana, founder of Dance Awards Ghana said he decided to put the award scheme together to appreciate dancers who are usually not considered important.

According to him, dancers play a major role in our entertainment industry—making of music videos, on stage during performances among others.

“I am a dancer myself and I know the role we play in the society. The first edition of Dance Awards Ghana which took place last year went well and I am expecting another good show come Saturday. It is my dream t this award scheme becomes big so I extend it beyond Ghana” he said.
