DJ Black reigns at Ghana DJ Awards

Joy FM’s DJ Black walked away with broad smiles on his face after clinching four awards, including the Best DJ of the Year, at  the 2014 Ghana DJ Awards  ceremony that came off last Saturday, February 22 at the National Theatre.

The well-known DJ Black had been nominated in seven categories and winning in four of them  underlined his supreme stature on the disc jockeying terrain in this country.

There were performances by artistes such as Mz Vee, Stonebwoy, AK Songstress, Pope Skinny and Diamond at the event which saw  Adom FM’s  Ohemaa Woyeje  win in the Best Female Radio DJ of the Year category.

Other notable winners on the night were Blakk Rasta (Reggae/Dancehall DJ of Year); DJ Sapii (Gospel DJ of the Year); DJ Kess (Best Female DJ of the Year)  Andy Dosty (Highlife DJ of the Year) and Shatta Wale (DJs’ Song of the Year)

Organiser of the event, Mercury Quaye, told Daily Graphic his team was satisfied with the event which was the second in the series. 

He stated that they  were looking forward to another successful one next year.
