As if to tell his “enemies” to mind their business, Duke warns them to look out for his success story since he is not born to be a failure on the song produced by Pee GH.

“This is my story to the world, that Duke is poised for greater things and not failure. I admit being a solo artiste isn’t easy but I want people to know that Duke is back for good,” he said.

A piece that explores the essence of hard work, he says despite the difficulties he may encounter as a solo artiste, he won’t seek any spiritual assistance.

Since going solo, Duke D 2 has worked with the likes of Shatta Wale, Kwaw Kese and Tico others and is hopeful his new song will give him the recognition he is craving for.

“It is only few solo artistes who are able to break through after a split and I want to be counted as one of them. Wutah Afriyie, Okyeame Kwame have stood the test of time and I know I can do same when I release good songs that my fans can appreciate,” he said in an interview with Showbiz on Friday.

To prove his seriousness, Duke who is currently based in the United States of America said he is working on the release of his five new songs by the end of the year.

He said his maiden solo album which will be under his record label, Duke D2 Music would feature great musicians across Africa.

The duo, then made up of Duke D2 and Genesis who split up last year treated Ghanaians to some popular songs such as Mama ne Dada, Fever and Ewo.
