GBC to telecast national peace concert
The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) will partner the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) for live telecast of a national peace concert on December 6 inside the GBC compound on the Ring Road in Accra.
The STAR Ghana- sponsored concert slated for 8.00pm will feature artistes that participated in the MUSIGA All-Star Peace Song and the MUSIGA Peace Songs album as well as special guests.
Artistes expected to perform on the night include Knii Lante, Iwan, Nero X, Pastor Joe Beecham, Cano Z, AK Songstress, Sherifa Gunu, Ras Kuuku, Gasmilla, Adane Best, Chizzy Wailer, Don Itchie, Rev. Yawson and Black Rasta.
Information about the concert was made known when MUSIGA officials met recently with the GBC leadership to discuss areas of cooperation between the two bodies.
According to the MUSIGA president, Bice Osei Kuffour, there has been a longstanding relationship between the union and the visit was to reignite those bonds.
The Director General of GBC, Dr Kwame Akuffo Annof-Ntow, thanked MUSIGA for the visit and said the two outfits needed to map out more common grounds for collaboration.
The MUSIGA president presented a copy of the MUSIGA Peace Songs album and a plaque in honor of GBC’s support for the annual MUSIGA Grand Ball.
