Artistes

The names of all the artistes on the bill begin with the letter “s” — Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Screwface and Sherifa Gunu.

They gave the teeming crowd an unforgettable experience as they performed songs from their repertoire to the admiration of the crowd.

The outdoor event, which started at 9 p.m., began with underground musicians before Pope Skinny mounted the stage to perform his hit songs Hot Cake and Wa Shatta Me.

Always known for their energetic performances, Sherifa and her dancers left the crowd yearning for more with the little time they spent on stage.

The master of ceremonies (MC) wasted no time in mentioning Shatta Wale as the next act on stage. Even before he mounted the stage, the crowd had been screaming his name since the beginning of the show and Shatta Wale, who was prepared for his fans, did not disappoint them throughout his performance.

Performances

Shatta Wale dropped hit song after hit song, notably Korle Gonno, Dancehall Commando, Ice Scream and Like My Thing, before advising his fans to take whatever they were doing seriously.

The crowd went ‘wild’ when Shatta Wale sang Samini’s Linda before revealing a High Grade Family T-shirt he was wearing under his Jacket.

Before Samini came on stage at 1:30 a.m., the disc jockey (DJ) played songs on the Linda hit-maker album to prepare them for Samini.

With a live band, Samini spent one hour on stage singing both his old songs and current ones.

Samini really knows how to move the crowd, as he made sure the audience sang along with him throughout his stage performance.

Before Stonebwoy, who was the final act, mounted the stage, Kofi Kinaata and Screwface did well to entertain the crowd with their incredible performances.

Stonebwoy came on stage at 2:40 a.m. and although the crowd looked tired, they responded to the Bhim Nation hit-maker throughout his performance.

Stonebwoy sang songs such as Climax, Pull Up, Ghetto Love, Can’t Cool and Baafira, which was the crowd’s favourite.

DJs on the night were Nii Ayi Tagoe, DJ Perfect, DJ French Kiss and DJ Mono.
