Esumanjura, a new drama series targeted at children and intended to alert all stakeholders in the formal education arena, will star showing at 10.30 am on Saturdays on GTV from October 19.

Esumanjura tells the story of Ato, an extremely brilliant  young village boy played by David Akpabli. There are severe challenges as he tries to move from his village  to another school in an urban setting.

Other actors in the series include Albert Jackson-Davis, Zapp Mallet, Kwame Kamasa, Ken Fiati, Awo Ahiable, Ishak Al-Muminin and Louisa Tetteh.

Written by Henry Asampong and  directed by Maxwell Owusu-Manu, the series was produced by  Nii Addokwei Moffatt  with sponsorship from SIC Life and Kalyppo.

The writer explained that though a children’s drama, Esumanjura  is targeted at the family, government, policy makers in the education sector, teachers and the general public.

“It is loaded with motivational activities and lessons intended to inform, educate and entertain all,” Henry Asampong told Daily Graphic.
