Gospel artistes Emmanuel Cobbold has produced for include Gifty Osei, Minister Elsie, Minister David Xorse- Mensah, Kobina Annan, Cassey Martey, Dianne and Sammy Amponsah

Although he is hopeful of gaining attention like Nacee, George Forest and Dave Joy, Emmanuel Cobbold said he is grateful for the reception gospel artistes have given his works.

“I might not have worked with very popular gospel artistes but Gifty Osei was confident in my works and chose me to work on her Jesus be Too Much album. The result? Ghanaians were the judge of the quality of songs I produced,” he stated.

According to Emmanuel Cobbold, he appreciates sound engineer, Kaywa for grooming his talent and giving him the platform to explore his talent as a sound engineer.

“Until you have gained popularity for your works, it’s difficult for the old folks to accept you but it was a different case with Kaywa. He appreciated me and gave me the opportunity to shine as well,” he told Showbiz last week.

He explained that renowned gospel musicians are always seeking the services  of the  likes of Nacee, George Forest and Dave Joy because they have secured the confidence of the artistes with their good works, thus, making it difficult for new sound engineers like himself to attract them.

“An underground sound engineer is likely to get recognition in a short time if he works with very popular artistes; however, if that doesn’t happen, it takes a while to get the attention,” he stated.

Known for working with MTN as one of the producers of MTN Hit Maker Season Two, Emmanuel Cobbold who is looking forward to work with some of the famous gospel musicians in Ghana is a graduate of the School of Music and Worship Art Institute in Tema.
