Hugs and kisses to X.O.X.O.

The producer, cast and crew of  X.O.X.O are basking  in hugs and kisses following their success at last Thursday’s Radio and Televion Personality(RTP) awards when their programme won the prize for best television series (local) in a heavyweight category of familiar titles that have been around much longer.

The title,  X.O.X.O., inspired by a youth digital slang for hugs and kisses, is an urban-centred programme that stands out for its compelling themes and scenes as well as an array of beautiful young ladies.

The creativity of writer and producer, Edward Seddoh Jr, coupled with the  experience of  director, Eugene Kpakpo Addo, a committed crew and a cast of first timers including Harold Amenyah, Pearl Darkey, Kayila Kedze-Kaditey and Tony Nkwocha have combined to become a regular Saturday late afternoon delight on Viasat1.

In its third season since its inception about a year ago, the plot is untypically unpredictable and often inspired by feedback from viewers in the form of text messages on which direction they want the story to go, depending on dilemma questions asked at the end of each episode.

Currently, the story mostly revolves around the central character, Josh (Harold Amenyah), the ladies’ man whose personal life is beginning to take a toll on his working life and is on the verge of losing everything, thanks to a plan hatched by two aggrieved guys working in the shadows, both of whom not only consider Josh a threat to their own personal relationships, past and present, but would also publicly label him as one of “Accra’s baddest boys under 30 years”.

X.O.X.O., produced by Finesse-LXG Studios, shows every Saturday on Viasat1 at 5.30 pm and is sponsored by MTN with support from Schweppes Malt and No Yawa.
