That desire informed her choice of studying International Business at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for a degree.
But it appears fate had better plans. Gyakie met her now producer, Sosa, during her days at KNUST and that changed her life ambitions and the beginning of her remarkable journey in music.
Speaking on The Day Show with Berla Mundi recently, Gyakie shared insights into her early aspirations, stating, “Before I went to KNUST, I just wanted to be an entrepreneur. I wanted to be getting money, so I studied International Business in KNUST until I met my producer, Sosa, on campus through a friend and that is how my music began for me.
“Following our first meeting, Sosa sent me a beat that later became my debut single on various streaming platforms. And it was during this period that I discovered by abilities for writing songs,” she said.
