Jay Ampofo starts 'Delicious Jay' on YouTube

IT was just another hobby for singer, Jay Ampofo when she started sharing videos of her cooking recipes on her social media pages last year.

But it seems what began as a leisure pursuit is now good business for the artiste who has started Delicious Jay on YouTube.

Delicious Jay is a cooking channel that Jay Ampofo shares recipes of Ghanaian dishes and that of continental meals.

Already, her subscribers have enjoyed her cooking recipes of Costada Roasted Plantain Chicken, a French culinary, Egg tortillas rolls, a Chinese appetizer and popular Ghanaian delicacy, fufu and goat light soup.

She mentioned that Delicious Jay will serve as a cooking class and history lessons on the foods that will be prepared on the show.

“I know that there are many cooking channels on YouTube now. However, letting just anyone show you how to cook can be a recipe for a mediocre meal.

“With the rising popularity of YouTube cooking channels, it pays to be choosy and my channel is here to particularly help the African woman to know how to cook some of the popular dishes around the world.

“I intend to make my recipes the easiest for my African audience who may also want to expand the set of choices of food they prepare,” she said.

Jay Ampofo also noted Delicious Jay will not put a hold on her music career as she intends to perfectly juggle both endeavours.

A graduate of the Accra Technical University and Central University, Jay Ampofo is also an actress who has featured in movies such as Devil in the Dress and local TV drama, Abiba.
