New movie All Of Us Are Guilty premiered in Accra

A new Ghanaian film, All Of Us Are Guilty, is set to challenge audiences to rethink conventional notions of right and wrong by exploring the complex realities of accountability, trauma and human decision-making.

The film, which was officially unveiled at the National Theatre in Accra, delves into the moral dilemmas people face when confronted with difficult circumstances and the consequences that often follow their choices.

Mr. Enoch Sowah, Director of the film, said the project was inspired by questions about human responsibility and the uncomfortable truths that exist beyond the simplistic divide between good and evil.

“Today is not simply about announcing a film. It is about beginning a conversation,” he said.

According to him, All Of Us Are Guilty seeks to confront audiences with the difficult realities that shape individual and collective experiences.

“All Of Us Are Guilty started as a question. A question about accountability, about trauma, and about the choices we make when life places us in impossible situations,” Mr. Sowah noted.

He explained that the film encourages viewers to reflect on their own actions and examine how society often responds to people facing challenging circumstances.

The Director expressed hope that audiences would engage with the film beyond its entertainment value and reflect on its deeper themes.

“My hope is that when audiences eventually experience this film, they do not simply watch it. I hope they question it. I hope they discuss it. I hope they see a part of themselves somewhere within it,” he stated.

Featuring a cast of 20 actors and actresses, the film brings together a diverse pool of talent to tell a compelling story that explores the complexities of human behaviour and responsibility.

Mr. Sowah said the project was made possible through the commitment of producers, cast and crew members who shared a common belief in the power of storytelling and the potential of Ghanaian cinema.

“What you see here today is the result of a collective belief in storytelling and in the power of Ghanaian cinema,” he said.

He described the production as honest, ambitious and unforgettable, adding that more details about the film's release schedule and promotional activities would be announced in the coming months.

“Because at its core, All Of Us Are Guilty is not just about the characters on screen. It is about all of us,” he said.
