According to Nii Okai, Gospel singers publicised for the show were carefully selected to mark milestone having been part of his success story in the last two decades.
“I’ve groomed a number of musicians who are doing very well now and I’m always proud of their exploits. As such, this concert, which is quite instrumental in my career and story as a musician will afford me the opportunity to have all of them on a stage.
“That also tells of my influence in the Ghanaian Gospel music space. I don’t want it to be a place of pride for me but to express my gratitude to God for using me as a vessel to be a blessing in the lives of many musicians who have served with me since my debut album in 2003 and are equally impacting lives in Ghana and beyond,” he stated.
Nii Okai came to the limelight in 2003 when he released his first album Moko Be, an eight-track music album produced by KODA.
The album which featured the likes of the late Danny Nettey, Nana Yaa Amihere, produced popular songs such as Woana Na and Moko Be.
Nii Okai currently leads Harbour City Mass Choir (H.C.M.C.), an inter-denominational music ministry based in Tema, Ghana.
