Nkomode is gone
We are barely two months into 2016 and already the showbiz fraternity has lost three of its members with the latest being veteran comedian Nkomode.

Nkomode real name Yaw Donkor died last Friday at the Tema General Hospital after battling with liver and kidney failure.
Before Nkomode’s death on Friday, the entertainment industry had this year lost Isaac Yeboah, arts and entertainment writer and manager of ace highlife musician Amakye Dede. He died through a motor accident on New Year’s Day.
On January 23, veteran actor Solomon Sampah kicked the bucket at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
Reports Showbiz gathers is that Nkomode has been sick for months now and has visited different hospitals seeking medical assistance but his condition kept worsening.
The news of Nkomode’s death came as a surprise to many people and one person who is still in shock is actor David Dontoh.
Speaking in an interview with Showbiz, he said “I am still in shock about the death of Nkomode because we spoke about two weeks ago. He told me he wanted to feature on Agoro Fie and I asked him to make himself available whenever he was ready”, he added.
According to David Dontoh, he met him some time ago and realised he did not look very well even though Nkomode told him he was okay and that he has started shooting Kumawood movies.

Also, one of his good friends, actor Akrobeto expressed his shock when he told Ashh FM in Kumasi that “I am shocked at my friend’s death. I am very sad but I leave everything to God because He knows best.
“I will forever miss my brother Nkomode. In fact, he was really a great man in the showbiz industry, the film industry has lost a great man”, he added.
Nkomode, dropped off the entertainment radar after winning the Key Soap Concert Party Champion of Champions award for three consecutive years: 1996, 1997 and 1998.
After his sojourn in the UK for close to 15 years, he returned to Ghana last year.
