Odompo goes home

The funeral of actor, Richard Kwame Agyeman, popularly known as Odompo in the Obra television series comes off on Saturday, November 22, at the Arts Centre in Accra.
There will also be a thanksgiving service on Sunday, November 23, at the Salvation Army Church in Madina. He died on Tuesday, October 7, after a short illness at age 60.
Odompo joined the Obra drama group in 1986. He became very popular with the name, Odompo, for his character which he played in one of the Obra series.
He hails from Asante Sekyere and Kete Krachi in the Volta Region and a retired staff of the Ministry of Defence.
The group’s leader, Amankwa Ampofo, described him as a “good actor who always knew how to put himself in character”.
