Ohene Kwame Frimpong wins at Forty under 40 Awards

Ghanaian entrepreneur Ohene Kwame Frimpong was a proud recipient of two awards at the 5th edition of the Ghana Forty under 40 awards which came off recently.

Ohene Frimpong, who is the CEO of Wealthbridge Limited, won People’s Favourite Entrepreneur and Best Entrepreneur in the Food and Beverage category for his Kub's Original Bofrot Puff Puff.

Speaking with Graphic Showbiz about the awards, Ohene Kwame Frimpong expressed gratitude to his employees for their commitment to pushing the vision and mission of his company.
 
"I am grateful to the partners and colleagues that contributed in various forms for us to be here today. It is indeed a great honour and we first give thanks to the Almighty.

“Young investors like us deserve what we are getting and I want to dedicate this award to all the nominees that were in the category with me,” he said.

He also used the opportunity to call on government to invest in the private sector to make it more attractive for the youth to run their own businesses.

"Our policymakers are doing their best but we want more. We want the government to do more to encourage more young people like us to find their way into the global economy and investment sector. This is a great way we can earn better for ourselves, our family and the country,” he stated.

Kub's Original Bofrot Puff Puff was officially launched by the National Chief Imam of Ghana in May this year and has Nana Ama McBrown and Kojo Nkansah as brand ambassadors. According to Ohene Kwame Frimpong, the product is currently being exported to over 15 states in the USA and six EU countries as well as the UK.

Ohene Kwame Frimpong also has a number of businesses to his credit; he is the owner of SALT Media Group which owns Salt FM in Agogo in the Ashanti Region, May Day Entertainment and Saltfmonline.com.

He also runs an African restaurant in Chicago, USA and in addition, he is also a philanthropist who supports hundreds of students, orphans, aged and widows each year through his Smart Frimpong Foundation.

The Forty under 40 Awards is an initiative of Xodus Communications Limited which seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the country’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of 40 from a wide range of industries.
