Pastors must be called out for false prophecies-Arnold Asamoah - Baidoo
Entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has stressed the importance of holding pastors accountable for unfulfilled prophecies.

On UTV's United Showbiz on Saturday, October 12, 2024, he noted that contradictory prophecies from some prophets erode trust and credibility in Christianity.
Arnold argued that publicly addressing prophets whose predictions fail to materialize would curb fake revelations that potentially spark unrest in Ghana.
He believes this accountability measure would promote authenticity and safeguard the integrity of Christianity.
“I think it's high time if a prophet makes a declaration and it does not manifest, we should call him out. If you remember when the Ghana Police Service issued a directive for pastors not to make any declaration on 31st December?
“If the police service is able to do the same on these pastors, I also think it will reduce contradictory prophecies," he said.
Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has thrown his weight behind Apostle Opoku Onyinah's call for pastors to refrain from publicly prophesying the outcome of elections.
According to Apostle Onyinah, such prophecies can incite unrest and create confusion among the populace, especially when they contradict each other. This concern is timely, considering the upcoming elections in Ghana.
Apostle Onyinah, former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, has been vocal about the need for pastors and prophets to handle their prophetic messages responsibly.
He argues that when politicians hear favorable prophecies, they often align themselves with the prophets, which can lead to division and instability.
“I agree with what Apostle Opoku Onyinah is saying because all that he said in his article is true... We have been witnessing these prophecies, especially during elections and it is not right" he added.
