Pempamsie Foundation fight against teenage pregnancy

Reigning queen of TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Ms Vera Oheneba Safoah, known in showbiz circle as Esi (in the crown) and her Pempamsie Foundation embarked on a street campaign against teenage pregnancy in some principal streets in Cape Coast, Central Region.

Esi and her team marched through the Cape Coast Castle area through Anaafo and Ntsin with placards to also advise the youth on the need to attend school.

The Pempamsie Foundation has already embarked on similar outreach programmes in other areas in the region including Agona Swedru, Abura Asebu Kwamankese, and the Mfantsiman Districts.

The Biriwa Methodist Junior High School in the Mfantsiman District alone recorded an average of 10 pregnancies every academic year in the past 10 years.
