Quame Gyedu’s Festival of Testimonies25 in July
In recent times, Ghanaian Gospel artistes have been on a mission to spread the word of God, taking their message to various regions and audiences through events.
This deliberate effort has not only strengthened the faith of believers but also introduced the Gospel to new ears, as well as their music to those who may not be familiar with it.
One such artiste leading the charge is Kumasi based gospel singer, Quame Gyedu, who is gearing up for his annual Festival of Testimonies scheduled for Sunday, July 20, at the Eusbett International Conference Center, in Sunyani.
Themed "Glory and Power,” the festival, which is put together by Quame Gyedu Ministries promises to be a celebration of faith and music, featuring a lineup of gospel artistes. They are Emmanuel Awortwe, Efe Grace, Empress Gifty, Lady Lucy, and Kwaku Yeboah Kant.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz on Monday, June 23, Quame Gyedu expressed his delight at hosting an event outside his “home” region, noting that he was very positive the upcoming Festival of Testimonies will deliver soul-stirring performances that will uplift and inspire the audience.
“We are preparing for an unforgettable experience. The Festival of Testimonies will be a powerful declaration of God's glory and power in our lives,” he said.
He also mentioned that with a few weeks to the time, his team is working tirelessly to ensure that every detail is in place for a successful festival.
In September, 2024, Quame Gyedu held the Untamed concert featuring the likes of Akese Brempong, Celestine Donkor, Lady Prempeh, MOG Music, Mabel Okyere and Joshua Ahenkorah.
Apart from being a singer, Quame Gyedu is also a music producer who has worked on a number of songs such as Medofo Pa by Selina Boateng, Kai Wo Bohye No by Ernest Opoku, New Things by Daughters of Glorious Jesus and Sanbra by Diana Asamoah.
In 2022, Quame, who is credited with songs such as Gratitude, Asendua, Liberty, For His Glory, Ofata and I win won Songwriter of the Year at the Ghana National Gospel Music Awards (GNGMA).
