Queendalyn Yurglee and Ps Isaiah on Roar
For many core followers of gospel music, the names Queendalyn Yurglee and Pastor Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye are familiar and cherished.
The two have individually made a good impression with their spirit-filled songs and warm personalities, making their collaboration a thrilling prospect.
Queendalyn's latest song, Roar, released on Friday, November 21, features Pastor Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye, blending their talents in a powerful worship tune.
The lyrics of Roar paint a vivid picture of God's power and faithfulness. The song declares Jesus as the Lord God Almighty, the mighty man in battle, and the Everlasting Father, emphasising His strength and eternal nature.
The chorus of the song states, “(We say) Roar Jesus Roar, Roar Lion Roar (We say).
Roar Jesus Roar. Roar Lion Roar”.
According to Queendalyn, the repetition of "Roar Jesus Roar, Roar Lion Roar" is a call to unleash God's power and presence, likening Him to a mighty lion.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Queendalyn, affectionately known as Arkbearer, said the lyrics highlight God's unwavering commitment to His people, assuring that He will never leave nor forsake them, and will always be their guide.
This song is a message of hope and trust, a bold declaration of faith. I wanted to make an impact with Roar, and I'm thrilled that Pastor Isaiah Fosu Kwakye joined me. He's the perfect fit for this project,” she said.
When Queendalyn Yurglee officially launched her maiden EP, The Birth, in August 2023, she was very hopeful her first major project would positively impact lives.
And indeed, Hold My Hands, which won her an award, was part of the five-track EP which had other songs such as Wotim Ho Daa (You remain the same) and Honhom Kronkron.
She was the only female winner on the night when she took home TGMA Best Female Vocal Performer award.
The feat was quite significant for the singer who made her debut appearance as a nominee in the prestigious awards ceremony.
In October this year, she added another feather to her cap when she won Africa’s Most Promising Artiste of the Year award at Clima Africa Awards in Johannesburg, South Africa.
