Rocky Dawuni, Morgan Heritage headline Rhythms on da Runway Aqua edition
The annual fashion and music extravaganza, 'Rhythms on da Runway', is ready to make a splash with its 11th edition when it holds at the Accra International Conference Centre(AICC) on Saturday, December 2.
Themed "The Aqua Edition," this year's event promises to be a unique fusion of fashion, music, and social responsibility, with a special focus on Sustainable Development Goal Six (SDG-6) - Clean Water and Sanitation.

That is not all, "The Aqua Edition" will also feature iconic music performances, headlined by the three-time Grammy-nominated artiste Rocky Dawuni and Reggae royalty Morgan Heritage.
In addition to these celebrated acts, the event is expected to showcase a lineup of renowned African artistes , creating an electrifying night of music and entertainment.
Speaking at the launch, producer of Rhythms on da Runway, Yvonne Ocloo expressed excitement about this year's event, emphasising its role in celebrating Africa's rich cultural heritage.
She said the event will be a unifying force, bringing communities together and recognising the dedication of individuals and organisations tirelessly working to promote Africa on the global stage.
Ms Ocloo mentioned that this year's edition goes beyond entertainment and adds components of social responsibility, which will draw attention to issues of illegal mining crisis in Ghana's Atewa Forest and the impact caused by the disposal of second-hand clothing into the oceans, a problem that requires immediate attention and sustainable solutions.
The Creative President of NINETEEN57, Kofi Okyere-Darko (K O D), shared his perspective on the event's theme, "The Aqua Edition," and its significance stressing the need for collective action to protect the planet and secure a better future for generations to come.

He described the event as a platform to promote conscious consumerism, visionary design, and responsible decision-making, all of which prioritise environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
"With The Aqua Edition, Rhythms on da Runway is set to make a powerful statement, celebrating the vibrancy of African culture while also addressing critical global challenges.
"As music and fashion take centre stage, the event will highlight the importance of sustainable practices and the shared responsibility to protect our planet's precious resources, " he said.
