Romanus set to inspire hope with academic laurels

GHANAIAN comedian cum stage actor, Foster Owusu, popularly known as Romanus, has added an Executive Masters in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University Of Ghana Business School (UGBS) to his list of academic accomplishments.

Foster was part of students who graduated over the weekend and he tells Graphic Showbiz in an interview that the new academic feat will help to gain both practical experience and theoretical understanding of the many endeavours he is presently pursuing.

“I think seeking an upgrade and a platform to even learn more to help me broaden my horizon on my present dealings was the best choice. Given my current field of operations, I believe this particular programme is a step in the right direction because it gives the individual a strong foundation in contemporary management theory and practice,” he said.

Speaking about his future plans, he stated that the world should anticipate a well branded Foster who is ready to add a new flair to his comedy skills as well as event organisation that he is currently undertaking.

He admitted that although the decision to pursue the programme did not come on a silver platter given that he had had to combine work, family and schooling, he still managed to pull through because he wanted to inspire young acts.

“It was not a smooth journey at all, but God being good, we pushed through successfully and I’m hopeful that my journey would inspire young artistes who struggle to balance their academic life and professional pursuits,” he stated.
