Samini shows love to deprived children

Dancehall artiste, Samini, has undoubtedly enjoyed the support of Ghanaians since his emergence on the music scene a decade ago and last Monday, African Union day, was the right opportunity for him to give back to society.

Together with his High Grade Family, Samini spent part of the day with pupils of Enough Grace Complex School at Awoshie, where he sang for the children and treated them to a hot meal of Jollof rice and chicken.

He also gave the school an unspecified amount.

Samini, who was accompanied by Kaakie, Episode and gospel musician, Noble Nketia, spent some time with the pupils and used the occasion to advise them on the need to take their studies seriously and make their education a priority.

To show their appreciation, the pupils held a dance and rap competition using Samini’s music. They also recited memory verses from the Bible.

In a speech, Samini promised to visit the school regularly and also assist in providing their needs.

“It is surprising to see these lovely children in this state and as a dancehall artiste who has love for children, I promise to visit the school regularly and personally offer my assistance too.

“I have a foundation which will soon be launched and I promise to team up with this school to help deprived children here,” he said.

He appealed to corporate bodies and colleague musicians to adopt ways to undertake a worthy cause and help put smiles on the faces of the needy in society.
