This year’s festival is on the theme "GH: The Africa Dream and aims to showcase authentic made-in-Ghana products and Ghana’s rich culture in a more relaxed environment, highlight the business opportunities that Ghanaian culture and products provide as well as create an informal investor network session for new partnerships to be developed.

Reiterating the purpose of the event, CEO of the GIPC, Yofi Grant noted that Taste of Ghana offers an opportunity for investors to connect with potential local business partners, explore investment opportunities and celebrate the rich Ghanaian heritage.

“This event is about showcasing the best of Ghana, its music, culture, talented musicians, artists, entrepreneurs and economic potential. So, we invite you to join us and experience the Africa Dream firsthand.”

On his part, Mr Akwasi Agyeman, CEO of GTA, emphasised the event's role in promoting tourism in Ghana, attracting both local and international visitors.

He highlighted the importance of showcasing Ghana's diverse attractions,” including its stunning landscapes, historical sites, and vibrant arts scene, to boost the tourism industry”. Mr. Agyeman further noted that the event aligns with the government's vision to position Ghana as a top tourist destination in Africa.

In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, Mr Charles Opoku-Mensah, Head of PR and Communications of GIPC said, although admission is free, patrons need to dial *711*11*20# for tickets.

“This is to capture data to enable us engage patrons afterwards. We had 9,000 people attending the festival last year and already, 15, 000 have secured tickets for this year’s and we are still counting.

“The festival has been very rewarding and a good strategy to court investors. We are using soft power to appeal to their emotions and through Taste of Ghana, we have landed investment in areas including real estate, fashion, commercial farming among others”, he added.
