Tidal Rave Catch the Sun edition takes a wet and wild turn
What was meant to be a sun-soaked day of excitement quickly turned into a rain-drenched adventure at this year’s Tidal Rave, themed Catch the Sun.
Ravers, who eagerly anticipated a day of sunshine and mad energy, were instead met with an unannounced downpour that redefined the event's atmosphere.
The event, which took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, was scheduled to begin at noon with a variety of sunny-day activities like photoshoots, grilling, dancing and fashion showcases.
However, the weather had other plans, and the rain caused a delay in the festivities, pushing the start time to 4 p.m.
Despite the weather shift, patrons remained undeterred, arriving in droves to make the best of the day.
Their enthusiasm turned the unexpected rain into a new theme of its own. The change in weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the ravers, who embraced the rain with as much energy as they would have embraced the sun.
The main stage, initially delayed, kicked off with an electric performance from E.L., who set the tone for the night.
He was followed by the dynamic duo R2Bees, whose performance left the crowd buzzing. Edem, Kwesi Arthur, Pappy Kojo, KiDi among other other others kept the momentum going, each delivering unforgettable performances despite the downpour.
When Black Sherif, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie took the stage, it was an amazing moment for ravers who were served with the very best of Ghanaian music.

Their performances felt like a perfect match for the rainy backdrop, as if the rain had been part of the event’s plan all along. Together, they turned what could have been a setback into a thrilling, unforgettable experience.
The highlight of the evening came when the performing acts seized the moment to urge stakeholders to take decisive action against the rampant illegal mining activities plaguing the nation.
They emphasised the urgent need to combat this crisis, drawing attention to the severe environmental damage inflicted on the country’s water bodies.
