Who killed Fennec Okyere? Nine years of sadness and doubts
Today, March 13, marks exactly nine years since CEO of Madtime Entertainment and manager of rapper, Kwaw Kese, Fennec Okyere was murdered in cold blood at his Manet residence, in Accra.

The years after his death have been tough for his family, friends and industry players including Kwaw Kese who shared a strong bond with him as his manager.
But it seems the only comfort they seek is for the police to find and arrest the perpetrators of Fennec’s murder which appears far from being settled.
Apart from today, each year since Fennec's death seems to bring new pains to Kwaw Kese who calls on the police to intensify their investigations to bring the killers to book.
In a Facebook post in 2018, four years after Fennec’s death, the Abodam hitmaker wrote, “4 years of sadness and doubts, who killed my manager?”
Fenneck Okyere, then 31, was brutally killed by unknown assailants, who broke into his house on Thursday, March 13, 2014.
At the moment, no official arrest has been made in connection to Fennec’s death after the release of artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bullgod (formerly Bulldog) in 2017.
Bullgod’s arrest and release
Bullgod was arrested in May 2014 after investigations by the Homicide Unit of the Police Criminal Investigative Department (CID) ‘fingered’ him as a suspect.

In the heat of the moment, the then CID Public Relations Officer, DSP Joseph Darkwah established that Bullgod had issued numerous threats on the life of the deceased.
Three years later, Bullgod was freed from the alleged murder of Fennec when the then Attorney-General (AG), Gloria Akuffo said the state was no longer interested in prosecuting him over the alleged murder of Fennec Okyere.
This was contained in the AG’s advice on the case docket.
According to the prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Simon Apoirsornu, the AG had advised that Bullgod, who also doubles as the CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment be discharged to enable further investigations.
He was subsequently discharged and acquitted in 2018,
After his release, Bullgod has been addressing the mystery surrounding his alleged association with the death of his colleague Fennec Okyere.
“There’s a perception out there that I threatened Fennec. I did not. There’s no record anywhere. Nothing! The only argument I had with Fennec was public one on the radio. And I never used those words,” he told Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty sometime last year.
